Position: Senior Power BI Developer

Type: Contract to Permanent (Fulltime)

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics & Data Visualization working with Power BI, SQL, Excel
• Expertise with DAX, Power Modeling and ETL
• Knowledge of scheduling ETL jobs in Power BI
• Hand on expertise hosting Power BI reports on cloud platforms and Intranet
• Familiarity or knowledge of M language
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipeline and Tabular Editor (Optional)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong team orientation with excellent interpersonal skills working with internal team members
• Excellent organizational, project management abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Business Analyst to have a clear understanding of the data and business rules of the existing or future state solution
• Design data model using facts and dimensions
• Integrate new data sources by calling APIs using Python
• Develop data model using MS Power BI while leveraging best practices
• Work in coordination with the Data Visualization Specialist to perform data binding exercise ensuring the visuals are connected to the right fields
• Design and execute the User Acceptance Tests (UAT) to ensure product quality as well as data accuracy
• Continuous improvement of the dataset performance
• Work in coordination with the business units and the analytics team in an agile way to deliver on identified initiatives

Summary:

Works in partnership with clients, advising them on information technology to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, work to improve structure and efficiency of an organization’s systems.

The consultant may be asked to provide strategic guidance to organizations regarding information management, technology infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT.
